High Holidays with Chabad of Northbrook
Our services use easy-to-follow Hebrew/English prayer books, with contemporary insight along the way, so you can follow along whether you daven every week or once a year. Stay afterward for the Kiddush buffet.
Chabad is open to all. We don’t charge for seats or membership and operate on free-will giving. Just send us a reservation so we know to expect you.

Shofar in the Street
On the second day of Rosh Hashanah, the shofar comes to you. We take it around Northbrook, stopping at parks, corners and cul-de-sacs, so you can step outside, hear the blasts and go on with your day. The route finishes back at Chabad with Mincha and Tashlich. Don’t see your street on the list? Ask us to add it.
Children’s High Holiday Experience
Ninety minutes that belong to the kids. While the morning service is going on, children get their own program: a children’s service, group activities, games, snacks and shofar blowing. Both days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, 11:00am to 12:30pm. Every child is welcome at any age, with no charge and no membership required.
